During this forced quarantine, we had to
ask the Miss E, the woman who helps us keep the house clean, we had to ask her
for her own good and also for our safety, to stay home, meaning she wouldn’t be
coming over then my parents and I will be doing the housework during this
period of time.
At first, I proposed to copy as much as possible
Miss E’s routine, doing this and that on a specific day of the day; however,
that was very tiring, at least for me as I am just used to do my own things,
not exactly help that much around the house.
As the quarantine kept extending, we lost
that track of imitation, now we are more relaxed about the housework as we are
not used to do it as Miss E does; however, we do what we can to keep the house
clean and in order. The division of tasks is now a mess, everyone is allowed to
do what they want, when they day in order to keep the house in good conditions,
the main idea is to contribute to the well-being of us and harmony among us.
That idea got me thinking. During this
time, all over the world amazing things have been happening like Venice’s
canals clean and wish fish again, bears or goats and other animals walking free
in the cities. Is been said that the earth is healing, in a forced way, humans
are healing the planet after many discussions regarding climate change, the
importance of ecology and all that. If you have been involved in themes as the era of Aquarius, the awakening that was needed in order to enter the 5th
dimension, you might know that it was said that people needed to do something
in order to save the planet. I am not much into the researches about the
COVID-19 and where it actually came from, yes it is important nonetheless, I think is
as staring at a problem just wondering how it happened instead of focusing on
the present moment where it has consequences and the solution is the most
important thing right now.
But it also got me thinking. Those who are
blessed with a home, are learning to care for our homes, just as my parents and
I are doing, we all work together trying to keep it clean and in order. Well, this analogy needs to transcend
the walls of our homes once this is over, so we don’t need to go through
something like this again in order to wake up and save our home because that is
what Earth is, our home.
I bet that now that everyone is home, they
are not leaving empty bottles or trash all over just because. Well, the same
happens with the forests, the rivers and seas, and even the streets.
This is a
hard way to understand that we all are in this together, in this world, in our
home, and not only humans but animals as well, animals have the right to cross
the road without being hit, rivers and seas have the right to be clean.
So the message is to really learn to treat
our world as our home, a home we all share, a home we all care about because we
need it, we need the awe of looking at penguins walking down the street, the
thrill of seeing fish again in the waters, animals have the right to exist as
well without being hurt just because. Everyone is needed, even animals,
A person’s value is not on what they have like a coat made of mink or a wardrobe
filled with every type of animal's skin. A home is not rich because they collect
objects made of ivory or have a stuffed jaguar the family hunted.
This experience is showing us that pain and suffering are truly horrible, otherwise why the whole world is praying for each other to
heal, to ease the pain and suffering? Then, why people inflict pain and
suffering on animals or on another human just for fun? a very twisted way of having fun by the way.
We all are in this together, everyone
matters, everyone has something to give to this world, humans already have
inside them particles that make them matter, sparks that they can give to our
world to make it better.
During this time we are learning that every
idea counts, the idea of sewing at home our own masks, the idea of finding new
ways to make this quarantine as smooth as possible either by reading,
exercising, learning something new, making a puppet with a sock to pretend the monster eats the few cars that pass on the street; anything counts to help us help each other, and also to appreciate each other efforts to stay at home,
sharing the talents in the balcony, cheering on the doctors, nurses and everyone who is out there.
This is a hard time but is also a great
time to see we can be better humans, to see that mother nature and our world is
beautiful and deserves to be respected. This is a time to see that what matter
is what each of us is as a person, leaving behind the need for shallow things as
stupid challenges or the need to possess whichever good to prove a person is
valuable because is able to do silly things in front of a camera or because a
person has hunted millions of animals and collects souvenirs of each atrocious
experience.
Do not forget the teachings of this
experience, we are all in this together, be a better human, make a better
world.
